What size of sable brush do they use in Nail Salons?

What size of sable brush do they use in nail salons for acrylic nails? They always seem to be the same size, but what size is that? Anyone that knows would be great, thanks! What size of sable brush do they use in Nail Salons?
It depends on what type of nail salon you are talking about. The Asian techs do things differently than American techs - for the most part anyway. They use larger brushes, ranging from a #10 all the way up to a #22 or so. Usually, it seems to be somewhere in the middle of the two extremes. American techs usually stick to one of two sizes. A #8 Kolinsky hair brush is the most popular, and a #6 is second in line.

The problem with large brushes is they tend to absorb way too much monomer and this is transferred to the nail plate when the acrylic is applied. This results in overexposure, and eventually contact dermatitis for many people. Its best to keep the ratio just right, and never too wet. Too large, too wet...I hope this helps! What size of sable brush do they use in Nail Salons?
